Boyd v. Mack, et al., 09 C 2629 – Plaintiff, Robert Boyd, brought suit against the City of Chicago and several individual Chicago Police Officers for conspiracy, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and malicious prosecution. Plaintiff’s case did not get very far, however. Judge Gottschall dismissed plaintiff’s case at the motion to dismiss stage after Defendants’ successfully argued that all of his claims were barred by the statute of limitations, and his conspiracy claim could not amount to a constitutional violation on its own.
