Murray v. City of Chicago, et al. – Gary Murray was arrested for possession of crack cocaine, resisting arrest and reckless conduct. A finding of no probable cause was made by the criminal court and Murray then filed a civil suit against two Chicago police officers alleging that he was never in possession of crack cocaine and did nothing wrong and was subjected to excessive force. After a jury trial, the jury returned a verdict in favor of the Chicago police officers on all counts.
