Cherie Getchell joined Andrew M. Hale & Associates in February 2010. Ms. Getchell concentrates her practice on civil rights litigation. As a law student, she clerked for the City of Chicago’s Federal Civil Rights Litigation division for two and a half years, where she gained tremendous experience in civil rights defense. She also worked for a year with the City of Chicago’s Municipal Prosecutions division, prosecuting traffic offenses on behalf of the City of Chicago.Prior to her time with the City, she served as a student intern with Coordinated Advice & Referral Program for Legal Services, and worked as a paralegal with a small plaintiff’s firm focusing on product liability and medical malpractice. While in law school, she served as a research assistant to Professor Julie Spanbauer.Cherie is an avid Manchester United and European soccer fan, and blogs about soccer in her spare time.
